CPI Announces New Low Cost Draw Wire Position Sensing for Industrial Applications

CPI announces the launch of their new Cable Extension Transducer (Draw Wire Sensor) designed to address the needs of industrial applications who need accurate position sensing between 5″ (120mm) and 50″ (1270mm).   

Inside an enclosure less than 5″ square the CPI CTU uses a proprietary multifiber cable construction for added tensile strength and superior responsiveness. A precision potentiometer delivers excellent linearity and accuracy.

The enclosure is manufactured from Nylon 66 and using a proprietary blend of reinforcing fibers. This provides an overall rugged construction suitable for a variety of harsh and demanding industrial environments. The enclosure is IP65 rated.

The CTU size envelope allows it to be fitted into very small spaces, with a permissible misalignment that doesn’t compromise accuracy. It ships with a stainless steel mounting bracket and hardware to give the user as many mounting options as possible
